Tiny Oaty Chocolate Chip Cookies

These little cookies could almost pass for healthy - they are chock-full of walnuts (Omega 3's, vitamins), dark chocolate (anti-oxidants), and rolled oats (lots of fibre).  The texture is chewy and, despite the healthy ingredients, they are satisfyingly rich.

I made these tiny so that they are bite-sized and easy to snack on without feeling like you've over-indulged - the size also makes them good for kids.  The walnuts and dark chocolate couverture (the good stuff; none of that fake chocolate that sticks to your tongue!) are carefully chopped by hand to fit the petite size of the cookie.

S$5.50 per 100g of cookies, which is approximately 15-16 cookies.

These also make great gifts or party favours, and OUI can do custom packaging (examples may be viewed on the "Custom orders" page).

Gingerbread men (and women)

Have you ever bought a gingerbread man or gingerbread house and been utterly disappointed when you bit into the gingerbread, and realised that it doesn't taste as good as it looks??  Well, this gingerbread is not like that!  Quite often I eat several pieces before I even get around to decorating them. :)  They taste pleasingly spicy and are not overly sweet.  The texture is a bit like a cross between a chewy bread and  a cookie.

S$4 per piece, each is around 35g in weight.  The gender and design will vary, although the ones you'll receive will be similar to those pictured above.

If you have special requests for gingerbread (e.g. a particular design, or special packaging), feel free to get in touch!  These make great gifts. :-)

Nutella thumbprint cookies

I thought it would be fun to make these yummy Nutella thumbprint cookies look like pineapple tarts. :) "Thumbprint" cookies are so named because the little hole in the middle of each is traditionally made by pressing with the thumb. The hole is then filled with a delicious sweet filling.

Closer inspection will reveal that the generous dollop in the middle of each "pineapple tart" is really Nutella - that chocolate-hazelnut paste so many of us have loved from childhood!

The cookie base may also look like a crumbly pineapple tart, but don't be fooled, because this cookie is crisp and biscuit-like in texture. It's made with real butter and pure vanilla extract. Less sugar is added so that it doesn't compete with the taste of the pure Nutella filling.

S$18 per jar of 35-40 pieces.

Pineapple Tarts with homemade pineapple paste filling

These delicious pineapple tarts are carefully handmade, for anyone still craving these after the Lunar New Year season! :-)

The generous amount of pineapple paste that fills each tart is made by hand using only pineapple and rock sugar, for a pure pineapple taste. I make my pineapple paste moderately sweet (not too sweet). If you prefer a more sour taste, just let me know when you order, and I will adjust the amount of sugar accordingly.

The crumbly, melt-in-the-mouth pastry is also handmade with natural ingredients - fragrant and rich with real butter and a touch of pure vanilla.  These can keep for at least a month at room temperature - just keep the jar tightly closed.

S$18 per jar of 25 pieces.
